KIRERU is a collaboration between Athens based dance company ROOTLESSROOT and JOHN PARISH.
The 90 minute performance has been choreographed by LINDA KAPETANEA and JOZEF FRUCEK. The music could be described as a retrospective of John’s work and includes pieces from several film scores, instrumentals from his solo albums & his collaborations with PJ Harvey, as well as new and unreleased material.
John and his band – JEAN-MARC BUTTY (drums/keys), GIOVANNI FERRARIO (bass, keys, gtr) and JEREMY HOGG (slide gtr, gtr) – will be playing the music live alongside the 8 piece dance company.
KIRERU premiered on October 17th 2012 at Onasiss Cultural Centre, Athens, Greece.
There were a further thirteen performances at the same venue on October 18 – 21, and October 24 – 28, find out more here: www.rootlessroot.com
